Thundershowers likely across six divisions

The Meteorological Department has forecast thundershowers in six parts of the country. The Meteorological Department said in a forecast on Friday.

According to the forecast, the increase in western light pressure is located in West Bengal and adjoining areas of India, and the normal seasonal light pressure is located in South Bay. Due to this, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may get temporary gusts of wind and rain with thunderstorms.

The forecast also said that the weather will be mainly dry with partly cloudy skies in different parts of the country and from midnight to morning moderate to heavy fog will fall in the northwestern part of the country and river basins and light to moderate fog elsewhere in the country.

Across the country, night temperatures may drop slightly and daytime temperatures may rise by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius. Weather conditions may change slightly over the next five days. In addition, the weather conditions may improve in the next two days and the night temperature may drop further.

Meanwhile, Teknaf recorded the highest temperature of 29.8 degrees Celsius and Syedpur recorded the lowest temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.
