Thunderstorm in 7 divisions, heat wave continue

Ongoing storms and rains are likely to continue in seven parts of the country on Tuesday, March 29, the Meteorological Department said. At the same time, the heatwave in different parts of the country may continue, the department said.

Over the last few days, the sky in different parts of the country is suddenly covered with clouds. After that, it starts raining with a storm or Kalavaishakhi. There was a storm and rain in Dhaka yesterday afternoon.

Srimangal received the heaviest rainfall of 17 mm in 24 hours from 6 am on Monday to 6 am on Tuesday. There was little rain in Dhaka at that time.

Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid said that in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Tuesday in some parts of Sylhet division and Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, and one or two places in Chattogram division, there may be temporary gusts or thundershowers. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.

He further said that a mild heat wave is sweeping over Faridpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Jessore, Chuadanga, and Kushtia districts and it may continue.

Day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged in the next 24 hours.

On Tuesday morning, the lowest temperature in the country was 20.4 degrees Celsius in Srimangal. The highest temperature in the country on Monday was 37.8 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi.
