Thunderstorm forecast in six divisions

The Meteorological Department said that there could be temporary gusts of wind and thunderstorms in six parts of the country.

On Monday, April 18, meteorologist Bazlur Rashid confirms the matter.

He said that in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Monday, April 18 in some parts of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions a couple of places with temporary gusts of wind and thunderstorms with rain or thunderstorms may occur.

There may be scattered hailstorms somewhere along with that.

Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.

In forecasting the heat wave, the meteorologist said that mild heat wave is blowing over Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur and Jessore areas and it may continue. And day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged.

According to the Meteorological Department, the latest highest temperature recorded was 37.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi and the lowest was 19.3 degrees Celsius in Sylhet. Besides, wind speed in Dhaka will be 15-20 kmph.

The meteorological department also said that the rain may increase in the next three days.

The maximum rainfall of 50 mm was recorded in Sylhet in the previous 24 hours from 8 am on Monday. Besides, 23 mm of rain fell in Srimangal and light rain in Bogra and Dimla, the meteorological office said.

Today the wind speed in Dhaka was 10-15 kmph from south and southwest, which is temporarily 40-50 kmph from west or northwest. At 6 am, the relative humidity in Dhaka was 86 percent.
