Train movement stopped
Train drivers are on strike across the country demanding maintenance of pay and allowances under the old rules. As a result, Trains movement stopped all over the country.

Train drivers and running staff have stopped the movement of trains across the country from 6 am on Wednesday, 13 April.

Saidur Rahman, Joint General Secretary of Railway's Running Staff (Driver-Guard) and Workers-Employees Association confirmed the matter to the media.

Meanwhile, the situation has become stagnant all over the country. No trains left the Kamalapur Railway Station. Hundreds of people have been waiting at the station since dawn. As a result, local train passengers across the country have fallen into extreme misery.

Saidur Rahman said the drivers were protesting at Kamalapur Railway Station as the finance ministry did not accept their demands. The loco master and running staff of the train also went on strike. He also said that the strike will continue till the demand is met.

Meanwhile, the passengers are in trouble for calling a strike without prior announcement. Passengers arriving at Kamalapur railway station expressed their displeasure as the train was stopped in a hurry.

It is learned that a meeting of the train officials and employees is going on with the senior officials of the Railway Ministry. The train has not started running yet as no decision has been taken from that meeting.

The train drivers have stopped the movement of trains all over the country in one demand. The Railway Running Staff Employees Unity Council decided to stop the train movement by demanding the cancellation of the notification given by the Ministry of Finance by canceling the pre-determined mileage or allowance.
