Truck collision in Mymensingh, killed 5

Five people were killed and four others were injured when a CNG-powered autorickshaw collided head-on with a truck laden with sand in Mymensingh's Trishal Upazila.
The accident took place at Rampur on Trishal-Balipara road of the Upazila at 9:15 am on Wednesday.
According to eyewitnesses, the autorickshaw was going to Balipara with passengers from Trishal Upazila Sadar. On the way, the autorickshaw collided head-on with a sand truck coming from the opposite direction. Autorickshaw driver Sattar of Rampur village and passenger Kalimuddin of Baupur village died on the spot.
Fire service and civil defense personnel rescued the victims with the help of locals. The injured have been shifted to Trishal Upazila Health Complex.
Riazuddin, a fire service station officer in Trishal, said the bodies had been sent to the police station after the rescue operation.
