3 killed in Turage house fire

Three people were burnt to death in a house fire in the Chandalbhog area of ​​Turag police station in the capital. Their bodies were recovered around 4.30 am on Tuesday.

Bodies have been recovered named Jahangir (19), Ruma Akhter (17), and Afrin (14).

According to fire service sources, the fire broke out at Suruj Mia's house on government 'Khas land' in Manik slum Khalpara of Uttara. A two-room tin-shed house caught fire.

Three units of Uttara Fire Station are working to control the fire.

The Officer-in-charge of Turag Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Sajal Kumar Roy told that it was initially thought that the fire started from an electrical short circuit and from there three people died in the blaze. The body has been handed over to the police.

Preparations were underway to send the body to the morgue of Suhrawardy Medical College for autopsy till the last news was received.
