Another consignment of vaccine from China arrived in Dhaka

Another consignment of Sinopharm Corona vaccine purchased from China has arrived in Dhaka. 54 lakh one thousand 350 doses Sinopharm corona vaccine arrived in the country on Friday night. This is the sixth shipment of the Sinopharm vaccine in Bangladesh since the commercial shipment started on July 3.

A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 12:45 am on Friday. Then the director of the Department of Health Shamsul Haque received the invoice.

Earlier, Huang Yan, deputy chief of mission of the Chinese embassy in Dhaka, said in a post on social media on Friday night that Chinese vaccine consignments were coming to Bangladesh.

Huang Yan said the consignment of vaccines purchased commercially from China will reach Dhaka on Saturday.

"Whenever needed as a strategic partner of Bangladesh, China will always be by your side as the most reliable supplier," Huang Yan said.

Earlier in the day, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said that 2 crore doses of the corona vaccine would arrive from China this month. Of this (Saturday) 50 lakh doses will come. There are four such schedules this month. From now until next November, 50 lakh doses will be given every week. He said that vaccination activities will be intensified as soon as these vaccines are received.
