'Second dose of vaccine will be given from April 7'

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said the second dose will be given eight weeks after the first dose of Corona, according to World Health Organization guidelines. Vaccinations were given simultaneously across the country on 7 February. According to him, the second dose of vaccination will start from April 7.

The minister told after a meeting on the progress of the project titled 'Modernization, Expansion and Reconstruction' of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at the Health Ministry's meeting room at the Secretariat on Tuesday, February 23 at noon.

At present, 36 lakh 43 thousand 259 people have registered for vaccination in the country, said Health Minister Zahid Maleque. At the same time so far (January 27 to February 22) a total of 23 lakh eight thousand 157 people have been vaccinated in the country. Of these, 15 lakh 18 thousand 715 are males and 7 lakh 89 thousand 442 are females.
